Since its inception in 2019, I have been on a journey of learning and growing, bringing unique designs to life, to give people an opportunity to share their own personal story about their unique piece.

Balancing this passion with a full-time job and spending time with my amazing family is challenging at times, and I am so grateful for you who have been patient with me as I work on your pieces as I appreciate time is such a precious resource. Each piece created is a testament to the joy and fulfillment I find in working with wood, transforming raw materials into something that has meaning to the person who has had a dream.

Sustainability and Meaning

I try to approach every project with a sense of purpose, ensuring that the materials used are sustainable and responsibly sourced. I try to use people local to me where I can, so you know where the timber comes from. I also love to work with reclaimed timber when I can, as this is an amazing to bring a new life to timber that has a history. This dedication to eco-friendly practices is reflected in every custom piece, from cutting and serving boards to furniture and other unique creations.

The logo of Sawdust and Shavings Creations is inspired by a filigree necklace I found many years ago in Madrid. A small artisan market was selling these amazing little necklaces, the filigree tree grabbed my attention. I did not know what the style was at the time, only that something about it just resonated with me. This personal touch symbolises the essence of the business – creating pieces that carry a special meaning and a story of their own.
